Mid-16th century German pigskin over wooden boards; blind-stamped panel formed by triple fillets with pineapple tool in central frame; floral and foliate tools in middle frame; roll with personified virtues "FIDES", "SPES", "IVSTITIA" and date "1548" in outer frame; brass catches with remains of alum-tawed strap; three raised bands; ms. spine title.
