Printer's device on title pages with motto "Renovabitur ut aquilae iuventus tua". Information in Giuseppina Zappella's Le marche dei tipografi e degli editori italiani del Cinquecento suggests that the t.p. device may belong to the Societas Aquilae Renovantis (active at Venice, 1574-1586), although the device resembles Zappella's fig. 138 more closely than it does her fig. 140.
Some copies have v.1 dated 1581.
