Includes a prose eulogy by the husband, Pietro della Valle, and many Italian and Latin poems. The Renaissance traveller Pietro della Valle married a Syrian Christian lady, Maani Gioerida (Arabic: Ma'ani Juwayri), who died during their journey, and had her body preserved and transported back to Rome for burial.
