The date 1641 cited in the colophon is the date for completion. According to G. Levonian the printing began in 1639. It is more likely that it began in 1640. Of the four titles printed by Khachatur Kesaratsi (1590-1646) in the printing press he established in New Julfa in 1636, this is the 2nd.

The book contains Lives of Saints arranged not alphabetically or chronologically but according to the virtues.

On front endleaf in typed form: Լ.Գ.Մինասեան-ից with date added in blue ink 11/IV/[19]68 Ն.Ջուղ[այ, i.e. L.G. Minasian of New Julfa on April 4th 1968, from whom the volume was acquired. L.G. Minasian was the librarian of the All Saviour’s Monastery, New Julfa, Isfahan.
17th century tooled calf over wooden boards, ornamented with geometrical patters, two brass studs on the front cover; thongs and flap wanting. The inside of the covers are lined with brown linen Greek style binding typical of the New Julfa Armenian binders.
