The date of completion according to the colophon (ԴՃԻԳ-ԴՃԻԶ [pp. 413-416]) is « եհաս աւարտումն ս[ուր]բ մատենիս ՌՃԾԹ,Ապրիլի ա » [reached the end of [publication] on 1st of April, 1710]. The principal colophon occupies pp. 414- 417.

G. Zarbhanalian puts the date of the 1st printing of this title in 1708 and G. Levonian in 1710.
Contents: Three woodcuts on pp. ը (8), ճզ (106), ճէ (107). Fol. 1r: Title encased in ornamental headpiece with architectural design and rounded columns. Above the text two angels hold a mitre, and below two angels kneel on either side of ‘the lamb of God’.The first line of the title is in large black uncials followed by 20 lines of bolorgir. -- Fol. 8v: St Gregory the illuminator seated on a large throne dressed in episcopal vestment, wearing a mitre and holding a crozier. A figure at his foot kneels in a monk's vestment, holding onto St. Gregory's crozier. The cushion on which Gregory’s feet rest is supported by a lion and dragon. Above Gregory’s portrait is an icon of Christ. The background is architectural with marble coumns and domes. The caption on the foot of the page reads « Աղէքսանդր Անդր կաթողիկոսին բուռն հարեալ գաւազանի Լուսաւորչին» (Catholicos Aghek’sandr holding on to the crozier of the Illuminator).
-- Fol. 13v: an elaborate woodcut represent the Armenian king Trdat holding an oversized sword next to him his councillor, both wearing turbans and on the left St Gregory tied in ropes with an implement in his mouth, being lowered from the ceiling by a soldier. This was one of the 15 tortures he underwent for not renouncing the Christian Faith. The throne of the king rest on a lion. In the floral marble column above the councilor’s head is the inscription « Ագաթանգեղոս» [Agat’angeghos].Below in the margin a caption «Տրդատէս Արքայն Հայոց իսկիզբն արար չ[ա]րչ[[ա]ր[ա]նց Լուսաւորչին» (Trdat king of Armenia in the beginning tortured the Illuminator]. -- p. 1: Quarter page headpiece with an arabesque in the outer margin. The text is set in medium two line erkat’agir, followed by a single line of bird capitals, followed by a single line of large erkat’agir and five line of text in medium bolorgir. The initial letter « Ի» ( I ) is formed of an angel holding a dragon. -- pp. 106-107 is a full page woodcut of St Gregory the Illuminator blessing King Tradat, Queen Ashkhen and his courtiers. At the king's foot there is a picture of a boar which represents the animal King Trdat became after he imprisoned St Gregory. The inscription below reads « Յաճախապատում վ[ա]րդ[ա]պետ[ո]ւթի[ւն] առն Ա[ստուծո]յ» [The sermons of the man of God] -- p. 107. Title page of The Teaching of St Gregory [ Yachakhapatum]. Contemporary brown leather; blind tooled with geometric pattern forming a lozenge central frame within a rectangular frame filled with crosses. Three pegs on the front board; fore-edge flap, and remnants of leather thongs on rear board. Raised sewn bands made up of multi-coloured threads. Boxed in a cloth case with half leather spine,with gold lettered 'Agathangelos' and below 'Constantinople 1709' and green felt lining.
Bound inside the front covers are texts printed in small bolorgir belonging to an Armenian Breviary. It contains the prayers for ‘Confession’ before receiving Communion. The incipit above the page states « Հաղորդ Տալոյ» [When giving Communion].
