Printed illustrations: p. 11: three individual tailpieces. -- p. 12: Portrait of St John Chrysostom holding a crozier and a book with in the left upper corner St John the Evangelist copying his Gospel, accopmpanied by an Eagle and the Holy spirit descending in the form of a dove. -- p. 13: Quarter page headpiece accompanied by an arabesque in the outer margin. The opening in the headpiece has the letter « Է» [E] for God. The beginning line of the text is set in large bird and fish letters. -- p. 912: Full page image of the Crucifixion, with the symbols of the sun and the moon on either side of the cross .The letters « Յ Ն Թ Հ » inscribed on the sign board. Two childen in front, one lying down and the other standing.The blood pouring out from the side of Jesus in two streams pours into the mouths of the children. St John Chrysostom,with book in hand stands in the right margin, and above him a priest with the chalice in hand pointing to Jesus. In the left margin there is a depiction of a church. The dominant motif of decoration is grapevine. A skull and snake at the foot of the cross. In the left bottom corner the engraver “Grigor” has signed his name «ԳՐԻԳՈՐ» upside down.

Note

Some of the woodcuts and the title-page have the initials ԳՐ (GR) of the engraver Grigor Marzvanets’i (17-18th century). Marginal ornamentation and decorated initials.

Printed illustrations: p. 4: full-length portrait of the author Yohannes vardapet Jughayets’i Hayastani in a monk's vestment. -- p. 88: Nativity scene. The three kings followed by a crowd approach the Virgin Mary and child. In the background the city of Jerusalem. This engraving originates with Christophe Van Sichem, but has been slightly modified by the Armenian artist, whose initials ԳՐ [ G[rigo]r]] is placed on the roof of the tent. -- p.104: The Crucifixion. This was also the work of Christophe Van Sichem, but the Armenian artist has placed the Armenian legend above the cross « Յ Ն Թ Հ» (Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews) and placed his initials ‘GR’ at the foot of the Cross. -- p. 160: Christ half naked standing in a chalice, surrounded by all the implements of the Crucifixion. Above his head the initials of the caption ‘Yisus Nazovrets’i T’agawor Hreits’. Representing the real presence of Christ in the sacrament of Communion. -- p. 176: Half page portrait of Pope Sylvester. -- p. 206: Repeat of the image on p.160. -- p. 222: The three children in the fiery furnace.

The short colophon on page 176 records that the 2nd part was printed in the printing press of Paghtasar dpir in the AE 1202 [=+551 = 1753] also in Constantinople.
