Contemporary gold tooled calf over wooden boards; image of Crucifixion on the upper cover set in elaborately tooled diamond shape frame with sunrays emanating from the centre; lower cover with identical design having central image of the Blessed Virgin Mary holding the Child; tooled smooth spine; traces of studs and thongs, now missing.
