Translated from the French into English and from the English into Armenian by Margare Shahrimaneants, aghay [Turkish for chie] and corrected by Minas Gaspareants’, vardapet, Member of the Mkhit’arist Order in Trieste.

During the abbotship of S. Melk’onean in 1772, as a consequence of a crisis, the Mechitarist brotherhood split and a group under the leadership of A. Babikian settled in Trieste in 1773, where they established a printing press of their own.

The plates are a portrait of the author signed "Gio. Lapi" with 4-line etched caption in Armenian "Կենդանագիր համնման / Մարգարա Շէհրիմանեան / Աշխարահաշուրջ եռամասեան / պաշտօնատար Հայկազեան/ [Eulogy dedicated to Margare Shekrimanean]; and a portrait of the Chinese emperor signed "Pompeo Lapi ... Livorno", with caption in Armenian and Italian "Կամ-հի Կայսր Սինէացոց 1615 Cam-Hy imperatore della Cina".
