Publisher's grey linen case binding; front board stamped in gilt with design of two soldiers contemplating a monument with names of battles and cover title, within border of arabesques.

Provenance

Presentation inscription from (?) George J. Bondier, "the cousin, friend, & chaplain of one "of the fallen" to his uncle, Charles Rooke, November 1857. The name "Rooke, W., [Captain], 47th Regiment" is marked in pencil in the appendix (p. 62).
