Printing date precedes imprint on title page.
First issued in 1822 (cf. Nersessian, 370) with the date corrected in ink on the title page, and also entered under 1824 in the Armenian bibliographies. Copies also exist where the date has not been altered.
According to the preface signed by Chanik mahtesi Simēōnean, the present publication is a revised edition of the 1709 edition, also printed in Constantinople. The present text is edited by Grigor dpir P’ēshtimalchean and Chanik Simēōnean.
Translation of contents: The history of the conversion to Christianity of King Trdat of Armenia and the teaching of Saint Gregory the Illuminator (pp. 126-328); to which is added a Confession of Orthodox Faith (pp.328-331), adduced from the Teachings of St Gregory; and The Letter of Concord (pp.331-48) concluded between Emperor Constantine and Pope Sylvester on the one hand, and King Trdat and St Gregory on the other.
