[Copy 2] Copy contains ms. note on p. [1]: "From H. Brandreth (not by him)". Previously B.15.48.
[Copy 2] Annotation in pencil at head of title: "Private". Removed from a cloth flapcase with spine title "William Cory. Eton reform 1861" from the library of Oliver Brett (Lord Esher), with his bookplate and the booklabel of John Waynflete Carter, annotated in Carter's hand: "his [Brett's] case for an imperfect copy of Part I [of Eton reform] only (discarded 1950)". The flapcase later used by Carter to house a copy of Part I extracted from a bound volume of pamphlets collected by Reginald Brett and given by John Sparrow, and a copy of Part II puchased from Pickering & Chatto in 1948, later rebound by Carter in a single volume (Kp.4.04). Whether the present pamphlet was extracted from the same volume cannot be confirmed.
