Woodcut frontispiece depicting Grigor Tat’ewats’i, rector of the University of Tat’ew surrounded by students. First page of the text (p.7) has a quarter page headpieces, with a full=page length arabesque in the outer margin and the first line of the text formed by human figures. Woodcut title page ;depicting the figures of the four Evangelist. Christ holding a globe in his hand, flanked by the Apostles Peter and Paul and below the Virgin Mary flanked by two Evangelists. The two figures wearing mitre represet St Taddeus and St Grigor. Tail-pieces and bird capitals.

18th century blind-panelled calf over wooden boards; early rebacking; traces of pins for the flap on both covers. Binding very similar of Armenian manuscript bindings of the 17th century.
