The first critical edition of the Armenian Bible, edited by Yovhannes Zohrapean of the Mkhit'arists.

The text of this edition reproduces in the main MS 1508 of the Mechitarist Monastery at Venice containing the complete Bible and dating from 1309. In the apparatus Zohrapean cites variant readings from eight other manuscripts of the Bible, 30 of the Gospels, 14 of the Epistles, and four lectionaries. Cf. Nersessian, V. The Bible in the Armenian tradition, London: British Library, 2001.

Two frontispiece plates for the Old and New Testaments respectively, the first representing the Holy Translators with a caption from Amos 3:7, and the second depicting Christ above the figures of the Four Evangelists with their respective symbols, with a caption from John 20:31.
