Extract from the second volume of the "Recueil de planches" of an unidentified counterfeit edition of the "Encyclopédie, ou Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers", probably the Livorno edition of 1769-1778. Edition suggested by name of engraver.
Plates I, V, VIII, XII, XXII signed "VB. s.", and plate XXV signed "Valentina Baratti s."; the rest are unsigned.
Plates XII-XIII depict the Armenian alphabet and numbering system in columns: Majusculles (Peintes, Lapidaires), Cursives (Rondes, Majusc., Minusc), Noms (Armenien, Latin), Valeur, Valeur numerique, Numero. Descriptive text on p. 8.
Plates numbered I-XXV top right and 99-123 bottom left.
