Vol. 9, published in 1765, contains an index to the 9 vols. and an appendix and concludes: "The end of the ninth and last volume".

Subsequently another 9 vols. were published to continue the series to 1800. The edition statements in vols. 15-18 of Ruffhead's edition describe them also as vols. 11-14 of the edition of 'Statutes at large' edited by Runnington.

An 'Advertisement' in vol. 8 announces that "at the request of many of the subscribers" the series would be brought up to date and completed by a ninth volume.
