16th or early 17th century brown calf; blind tooled triple fillet border; oval centrepiece with arabesques; blind tooled single fillet on board edges, with hatching towards gutter; blind tooled single and double fillet on spine, with sections of hatching at head and tail; traces of red morocco spine label with gold tooling, now detached; red stained edges; holes for ties.
Underlining throughout, and some annotation in Latin, in a 16th century hand.
Title-page substantially trimmed on three sides to remove inscriptions. Some annotation also removed through abrasion.
