Early 17th century Vincent Williamson binding; dark brown calf; blind tooled triple fillet border; gold tooled Eton College arms as centrepiece; blind tooled single fillet on spine, and gold tooled volume numbers; red morocco spine label with gold tooled letters and double fillet frames; yellow stained and red sprinkled edges; traces of clasps (with large losses of leather on front board of vol. 1 where the clasps have been torn off); some historic mends to head and tail of spines; four raised bands.
