Provenance
Robert Birley was Assistant Master of Eton 1926-1935 and Headmaster 1949-1963. He was also President of the Bibliographical Society 1979-1980.
Binding
Notebooks predominately bound in maroon cloth quarter-binding with maroon or dark blue covered boards; some have stained edges.
