English dark brown calf c. 1590; blind tooled triple fillet frame with gold tooled single fillet on the central line; blind stamped centrepiece; holes for chain in front board; modern rebacking; blind tooled single fillet decoration on spine with two panels of hatching at head and tail; gold tooled fleurons and single fillet; yellow stained edges.
