When first printed, the work ended with gathering Zzz, but an ideal copy has two extra gatherings (signed "Zzzz Aaaa" and Bbbb) inserted after leaf Zzz1. To make the text continuous, the recto of Zzz3 (the text of which is repeated on "Zzzz Aaaa"1r) has been cancelled in most copies with a pasted-on errata leaf.

"De anima brutorum quæ hominis vitalis ac sensitiva est, pars prima physiologica ejusdem naturam, partes, potentias & affectiones tradens" and "Pars secunda pathologica sive de morbis quæ ad animam corpoream, ejusque subjecta, scilicet cerebrum, & genus nervosum spectant" have divisional titles on g1r and Hh1r respectively; the pagination and signatures are continuous.
