First published in 1552 as 'A boke or counseill against the disease commonly called the sweate, or sweatying sicknesse', but later translated into Latin and much expanded into the present work by Caius himself.

Eighteenth century light brown sprinkled calf; blind tooled double fillet and flower wreath frames, with one frame clear of sprinkling; large arabesque cornerpieces; gold tooled scroll roll on board edges; blind tooled single fillet on spine; traces of a spine label, now lost; five raised bands; red and green sprinkled edges.
