In this edition, the word "Scotland" is on the 12th line of title page by itself in larger type, and it is not followed by punctuation; in another edition (ESTC R15331) the word "Scotland" is part of the 11th line and in the same font as the words nearby, and it's followed by a colon.
Half-title reads: "The history of the church and state of Scotland, the II. part. In seven books.".
Variant: in some copies gathering 3K⁴ is replaced by a different gathering (3K⁶), the additional leaves bearing lists of the king and nobility.
With portrait of Charles I (plate) bound before leaf X1, signed: "G Faithorne excud.".
