[Copy 1] Dedication label attached inside front board of bound volume: "To Cockie the contemptible hero this Drama for fools is dedicated, EGC, 1945. This copy is numbered at the head of p. [1] "No 4". A set of the plays numbered 4 is recorded in a loosely inserted note in the 'List of names', signed by J.W. Swanson, 17 Jan. 1962, stating that Guido Morris's copy is in his collection.

[Copy 1] Contemporary marbled paper boards with ms. cover title "5 plays for puppets by Tom Fool alias John Bull ie CGE, 1917 1918"; brown paper dust wrapper with ms. cover title in white pencil and black ink "Drama for donkeys: 5 interludes" and ink spine title "Drama for fools"; housed in ?contemporary marbled paper slip case with red ink label "Interludes from 'The drama of fools', Tom Fool, 1916". Housed in acid free envelope.
