The second, sixth, seventh, ninth and eleventh books have divisional title-pages with continuous pagination and register; the tenth book has a divisional title-page but with separate pagination; the third and eighth books have separate dated title-pages and separate pagination; the fourth and fifth books have separate dated title-pages with continuous pagination and register.
Appended to the main work are Fuller's "The history of the University of Cambridge since the conquest. Printed in the year of Our Lord, 1655." ([8], 172 pages), "The history of Waltham-Abby in Essex, founded by King Harold. London, printed in the year, M.DC.LV." (22, [2] pages) and "An index of the most remarkable persons and passages in this book".
Errors in pagination, including the following: 194 and 199 (gathering (Cc)) misumbered "199" and "194"; 116 (Pppp3v) misnumbered "115".
Includes five leaves of plates, two of which may be bound folded: [1] Coats of arms, headed "The seales of armes of all the mitred abbeys in England"; [2] Coats of arms, captioned "The Knights joined with [th]e Monkes of Ely by Willia[m] [th]e Conqueror" (double-page or folded); [3] Lichfield Cathedral signed "Sam: Kyrk pinxit, W Hollar: sculp:"; [4] Lichfield cathedral, side elevation, signed "Samuel Kirke delin: Ro: Vaughan sculp:" and [5] Map of Cambridge, showing the colleges, dated 1634 (double-page or folded).
