Lengthy note inside front cover in Edward Anthony [Teddy] Craig's hand, noting that the copy was originally inscribed by his father Edward Gordon Craig "From Ted to May", i.e. his wife May, née Helen Mary Gibson, and that Teddy Craig had torn out the dedication after finding the book for sale in Charing Cross Road, and later added his father's small "GC" bookplate.
Loosely inserted woodcut by Edward Gordon Craig and mark of emphasis at p. 118, with note in Teddy Craig's hand noting that the woodcut was designed in 1907 and engraved in 1908 to illustrate the marked passage of Dante's work.
