Pencil note in Edward Anthony Craig's hand: "This was the book (another copy) that so influenced EGC [i.e. his father Edward Gordon Craig], 1904-05 ... I have carried over his markings and added my own." Ink sketch of a hand on final endpaper.
[Copy 2] Small oval "GC" bookplate of Edward Gordon Craig, probably affixed by Edward Anthony Craig; address label of Edward A. Craig on title page with his annotation: "As one reads this book one realizes how important it was to EGC. Its obvious that he didnt read it all but what he did read influenced him greatly". Infrequent marks of emphasis in pencil.
