The first letter, dated 31 May 1776, was written by Robert Carr to Richard Bull and concerns the return of Bull's letters to Bull after the death of Granger in April.
Tipped in: a letter from Richard Bull to Anthony Morris Storer, 1787, recording his donation of the volume to Storer. Storer's library was bequeathed to Eton College in 1799.
Also enclosed: a letter from M. Kathleen Martin requesting to consult the letters at Eton, 23 October 1910.
