Bibliographical notes and copies of manuscripts once belonging to Richard Topham and relating to his library. manuscript.

An assortment of manuscripts, chiefly in Topham's hand, relating to his collections. The first folder contains 29 sheets of notes in Topham's hands extracted from printed volumes in his library. Most of these are accompanied by a note with the shelfmark of the volume in question, including Dio Chrysostom, Plutarch, Athenaeus.
The second folder contains two contemporary manuscript copies of Greek manuscripts at the Bodleian Library. The first is an extract from George Choiroboskos which according to an accompanying note in the hand of Patrick Strong is in the hand of Joseph Bowles, Bodleian's Librarian between 1719 and 1729. The second is an extract from Nicetas Choniates, Thesaurus orthodoxae fidei, Bodleian MS Roe 22, possibly also in Joseph Bowles.
The third folder contains a photocopy of a manuscript found in Topham's copy of Bernard's Catalogi librorum manuscriptorum Angliae (1697) (Bg.3.09) concerning Greek manuscripts at the Bodleian from the collection of Francesco Barozzi. A portion of the manuscript is a letter from Joseph Bowles presumably to Topham, describing the Barozzi manuscripts. A second portion gives further details in Topham's hand. The original is now at the Bodleian, at MS Gr.misc.c.7.
