18th-century brown Spanish calfskin over pasteboards. Covers undecorated. Spine with no raised bands; gilt tools and titling ("Bell's Shakespeare"; "vol [number]"). Textblock rounded and dyed yellow. Endpapers of marbled paper (pastedowns and facing flyleaves); three flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
Ms. notes in pencil about price of set of volumes ("9 vols £2/107-") on front flyleaves.
