Everything from quire A onwards is printed in red and black.
Numerous woodcut illustrations, including views of various European towns, the occupations proper to each month of the year, the signs of the zodiac, diagrams of eclipses and various other astronomical tables and diagrams. Some of the woodcuts have been attributed to Hans Beham.
Page *2r (the first page of the dedication) is enclosed within a woodcut architectural border.

Early 17th century dark brown calf; blind tooled triple fillet frame with blind tooled fleur-de-lys stamp in centre of boards; holes in front board for chain plate; 20th or 21st century rebacking and some mends to corners of boards; blind tooled single fillet on spine; crimson stained edges; possibly by Vincent Williamson.
