The words "Historiam regni .. Atlantidem." and "Tractatus de augmentis .. mortis." are bracketed together on the main title-page.
The title-page to "De sapienta veterum" includes in the imprint "annuente Francisco Constabulario". Some title pages have imprints beginning with "Londini, typis Ioh. Haviland".
"Historia regni Henrici Septimi Regis Angliae", "Sermones fideles sive, Interiora rerum" [from the Essays], "Francisci Baconi, equitis aurati procuratoris secundi, Iacobi Regis Magnæ Britanniæ, De sapientia veterum liber", "Dialogus de bello sacro", and "Nova Atlantis fragmentorum alterum" each have separately dated title-page but continuous pagination and register. "Francisci Baconi Baronis de Verulamio, Vice-Comitis Sancti Albani, Tractatus de dignitate & augmentis scientiarum" has separate pagination and two dated title-pages, the first with imprint ".. Prostant .. apud Iocosam Norton & Richardum Whitakerum. .."; within this pagination, "Francisci Baconi, Baronis de Verulamio, Vice-Comitis Sancti Albani, Historia naturalis et experimentalis ad condendam philosophiam" and "Francisci Baconi, Baronis de Verulamio, Vice-Comitis Sancti Albani, Historia vitæ & mortis" each have separate dated title-page. Register is continuous throughout.
Variant: issued with unsold sheets of "Francisci de Verulamio, summi Angliæ Cancellarij, Instauratio magna" (STC 1163). Some of these have the engraved title-page cancelled by a letterpress one with imprint "Londini, apud Ioannem Billium .. M.DC.XX.". This is STC 1110; ESTC 106961.

Five leaves of a manuscript copy of Bacon's 'Catalogus historiarum particularium' possibly in Nicholas Mann's hand, bound in at the end of the volume.
