Contemporary mid brown sprinkled calf; blind tooled double fillet and triple fillet frames, the inner frame with flower fleurons at each corner; gold tooled swag-and-dot roll on board edges; blind tooled triple fillet on spine; traces of spine label, now lost; rebacked in ?20th century with earlier leather of spine reattached; red sprinkled edges.

Copy-specific note

The copy of 'Meditationes' and its appendix bound into the volume have an imprint date of 1670 rather than 1664. This was published by Elzevier, and is Willems 1430.
