17th century mid brown sprinkled calf, possibly French; blind tooled double fillet border; blind tooled single fillet on board edges; blind tooled double fillet on spine; blind tooled single fillet hatching on board edges near spine at head and tail; binders' waste as pastedowns on both boards, a French religious text in small format; red sprinkled edges.
