Twenty-four printed leaves and twenty illustration sheets (five for each of the four seasons) laid down on the leaves of a custom bound album of sheets of heavy paper mounted on stubs.
"The four seasons' illustration sheets were created by the weather. Five sheets of watercolour paper were left exposed to the elements on a central London rooftop for the duration of each season. Paper: fabriano artistico 300gsm rough."--colophon.

Title taken from half-title leaf printed in blue; printed text comprises preliminary leaf, divisional half-title leaf and four poems for each season laid down to face the five illustration sheets for that season; initials printed in shades of blue, teal and purple.
First preliminary leaf is blank.
21st-century half binding of dark blue goatskin; matching dark blue cloth sides; title embossed on front cover; author's name tooled in black on lower corner of front cover. Housed in matching clamshell box of dark blue leather and cloth with embossed title on the front and blind-tooled initial 'f'' on spine; synthetic fabric strap and metal closure; detachable carrying strap secured to metal rings in spine of box.
