Inscription on front flyleaf: N. Mann Dedit Fr. Hare Coll. Regal. Soc. 1702. Presumably this refers to Francis Hare (1671-1740), bishop of Chichester, who was a Fellow of King's College Cambridge from 1692 to 1706.
Contemporary English mottled calf; blind tooled triple and double fillet frames; blind-tooled lozenge fleurons at corners of inner frame; gold tooled scroll roll on board edges; blind tooled double fillet on spine; five raised bands; red and green sprinkled edges.
