Eighteenth-century light brown calf; blind tooled triple and double fillet frames, with blind tooled arabesque cornerpieces and fleurons; gold tooled foliage roll on board edges; blind tooled double fillet on spine; black stained compartment in imitation of a black morocco spine label, with title painted in gold; four raised bands; endbands; blue and red sprinkled edges.
