Contemporary parchment over boards, by Vincent Williamson; boards have triple-blind-fillet border frames; holes visible for two pairs of fore-edge ties; five raised bands; blind-fillets on spine and board edges; text block edges sprinkled red; v. 1 has printed waste used for front pastedown, with heading: "Heraclidis Pontici qui Aristotelis ætate vixit ... interprete Conrado Gesnero ...", and small section of red and black printed music waste; v. 2/3 has printed waste used for front pastedown, with running title "Sylla".
