18th century sprinkled calf; boards have three concentric blind-tooled frames; middle frames has ornaments at outer corners; five raised bands; goatskin spine label with gilt title in gold-fillet frame: "Higden View. & defence"; board edges tooled in gold; text block edges sprinkled red and brown.
