Binding

18th century calf; boards have two concentric blind-fillet frames; inner frame has ornaments at outer corners; four raised bands; goatskin spine label with gilt title in double-gold-fillet frame: "History of Europe"; board edges tooled in gold; text block edges sprinkled red and blue.
