Written in black ink in italic hand. Ruled in pale red ink. Title-page written in black and red ink.
The scribe may be Thomas Sibthorpe, Allen's junior clerk at Middle Temple, who was bequeathed £120 in Allen's will to transcribe two copies of the catalogue, one for his patron Arthur Onslow and one for King's. It is not clear if this is one of these copies, or an earlier copy.
First volume of a five volume set, including a catalogue of the scholars at King's College Cambridge (Eton MS 374). Entries for some fellows in this volume give cross-references to their entries in the catalogue for King's.
