This state includes all copies containing a mixture of leaves from the Frankfurt edition (STC 12685) and the edition with imprint "Hannoviæ per Gulielmum Antoniu[m] a⁰ 1607.". The former have catchwords on all rectos and plates have page numbers; the latter have catchwords on versos only and plates have no page numbers. Copies having all Hanau leaves except for the Frankfurt title page are also part of this state. Copies containing Hanau leaves only are not within the scope of STC.

Note

The title page is engraved and signed "Wilhelmus kip sculpsit." State 1: the front of the pedestal framing the imprint is vertical. State 2: shading is diagonal.
