Early 17th century English mid brown calf; blind tooled concentric frames of triple fillet and decorative roll (number 783 in Oldham's English Blind Stamped Bindings); silver stamped centrepiece of Eton College crest on both boards; blind tooled single fillet on board edges; remains of metal clasps on both boards; blind tooled single fillet on spine; six raised bands; red stained edges.
