Late 17th or early 18th century dark brown sprinkled calf; central panel with cat's paw mottling; blind tooled concentric frames of swag, zigzag and arabesque rolls; blind stamped lozenge and segment tools at corners; gold tooled zigzag and dot roll on board edges; gold tooled decoration on spine; red morocco spine label with gold tooled triple fillet frame and title; six raised bands; red sprinkled edges.
