One of two states identified by Adams as separate issues, with the chief distinction being the spelling of place of publication (this issue, Adams G875, has "Antwerpiæ", the other issue, Adams G876, has "Antuerpiæ").

Inscription on title-page recording donation to Eton College by Henry Godolphin, provost of Eton, together with his armorial book stamp, a oval cartouche with double headed eagle between three fleurs de lys on verso of title-page.
Mid or late 17th century mid brown sprinkled calf; blind tooled double fillet border with second vertical line 1 centimetre from joint; gold tooled single fillet on board edges; blind tooled double fillet on spine; red morocco spine label with gold tooled triple fillet frame and title; parchment pastedowns with manuscript at the rear; six raised bands; red stained edges.
Inscription in early 17th century hand on front pastedown: 1l - 5s - 0 pd to Mr Maden.
