St Jerome, Contra Jovinianum (ff. 1-132v) is followed by space fillers in the main hand in the last quire (ff. 132v-135v). Further additions on ff. 136v-137v (originally left blank until the end of the quire, f. 138v) were made in the second half of the 11th century.
The space fillers comprise: 'Tres sorores fuerunt ...', a commonplace on the three Marys (ff. 132v-133); 'De notis litterarum', on cyphers (f. 133v); a noted office of St Baptist consisting of Matthew 11:2-4, Mark 7:7-29 and Matthew 11:5-6, possibly beginning imperfectly (f. 134rv); a piece on chanting and tones, mostly noted, and other brief explanatory notes on tones (ff. 134v-135v).
The later additions comprise: a hymn to St Katherine 'Aue uirginum gemma Katerina salue sponsa regis ...' (ff. 136v-137v) and 'Eterne uirgo memorie ...', both spaced for music but with only a few notes entered.
Leaf v is a medieval leaf, the pastedown in a former binding.
Written space: 162 x 90 mm.

Collation: 1-16⁸ 17¹⁴ wants 6 after f. 133, and 11,12 (probably both blank): 13,14 pasted together (f. 138) and were the pastedown in a former binding.
Quires 7-17 lettered at the end, g-r.
Initials in red or green, those on f. 1 and 76 with ornament of the other colour.
Capital letters in the ink of the text filled with red and green on f. 1r only.
Secundo folio: uano.
Rebound at Eton in the early 17th century; the chain mark from an earlier binding shows on f. v, and the marks of a central strap-and-pin fastening on ff. v and 138.

Illegible erased inscription at the foot of f. 1, transcribed using a reagent by M. R. James in the interleaved, annotated copy of his Descriptive catalogue at ECL (MS 932) as 'Liber de claustro Roffensi per H precentorem'. Entered in both the medieval Rochester catalogues.
Late 15th/early 16th century inscription 'Liber Willelmi Barett' on f. 138, with [three dots] IHC [three dots] above his name.
Inscription on f. v verso: 'Donum Guilielmi Hormani quondam huius contubernii socii'.
