Distinctiones, Anima-Zelare, each heading beginning 'Quot modis dicitur (or 'ponitur', or 'sumitur'); sources are in red in the margins.
The sources are mainly biblical, but some are classical, for example under 'Anima' on f. 2v, 'In asclepia mercurii virgilius'.
The verso of f. 248 was left blank.
The pastedowns at the beginning and end of the former binding (now lifted; not counted in the foliation above) are from the fifth and second leaf of a calendar in red and black, written in England in the first half of the 13th century. The originally exposed sides contain October and March, the previously pasted down sides contain September and April. Entries in red include: 1 March, 'Sancti Dauid archiepiscopi'; 12 March, 'Gregorii pape et anglorum apostoli'; 20 March, 'Cuthberti et Wlfranni episcoporum'; 19 April, 'Passio S. Ælphegi'. No gradings.

Quires marked in the usual late medieval fashion with signatures running a-z, 7, Ɔ.
Written in anglicana.
Initials in red or blue.
Red and blue scrolling down the margins shows the limits of each head word, but only up to the last page of quire 8, f. 78v.
Secundo folio: Angelus.
Previously in a contemporary binding of wooden boards covered with pink leather; two clasps and a label, missing but formerly attached by nails to the back cover; chainmark near the foot of the front cover.
A title (unread) and the number 87 in a medieval hand on the back cover.
One of the 'Bookes of the Colledge found in Mr Belfeldes Chambre after his death' in 1558; see R. Birley, 'The history of Eton College Library', The Library, 5th ser., v. 11 (1956), p. 241.
