Lines 1-430 and Fragment IV, lines 52-163 of the Aratea of Germanicus, ed. A. Breysig, 1867 and Bährens, Poetae Latini minores, v. 1, pp. 148-72, 193-99, with scholia largely from Isidore and Pliny.

Incipit: Fragmentum Arati cum armento (sic for: commento) nuiter repertum in sicilia; main text begins on f. 5: M. T. Ciceronis Traductio Arati cilici poete clarissimi de Signis celestibus incipit foeliciter.
With gaps in the text in the first few pages against which the scribe has written 'In ueteri exemplari erant delete pene littere' (f. 1v) and 'Hic idenm in ueteri exemplari erat defectusL qui et supra' (f. 2).
On f. 25 a section begins 'Ethereum uenit taurus ...' after 12 blank lines against which the scribe has written 'Tantum deerat in exemplari'.
On ff. 7-24v there are blank spaces for pictures and captions in the margins; ff. 3v, 49-52v are blank.
Leaves ii-iv are blank leaves of the same paper as ff. 1-52.
Written space: 120 x 70 mm.
22 long lines.
Ruling with a hard point on versos in the first half of each quire and on rectos in the second half.
Collation: 1⁴ 2-5¹⁰ 6⁸.
Written in sloping humanistica; a different scribe starts at f. 40.
3-line gold initial A on a green and red ground at beginning of main text on f. 5; other 20line initials in dark blue.
Secundo folio: mathicis.
Rebound at Eton ca. 1715.
Written in Italy.
On f. iii: 'Nº 22'.
