A collection of works by Cicero (ff. 1-14v); Calcidius' translation of Plato's Timaeus (ff. 50-62); books 1, 2 and 8 of Martianus Capella, De nuptiis Philologiae et Mercurii (ff. 64-82v, begins imperfectly); Macrobius, Somnium Scipionis (ff. 83-123v); with extensive additions in the margins and blank spaces from f. 50 of medical recipes and accounts in English in one 16th-century hand.
The works by Cicero comprise: Paradoxa Stoicorum (ff. 1-4v), Laelius (ff. 5-12), Cato Maior (ff. 12v-18v, ends im,perfectly), De officiis (ff. 19-48v), Epitaphia (f. 48v), and four short introductory paragraphs 'Supra tullium de amicicia', 'Supra tullium de senectute', 'Circa tullium de paradoxis' and 'Circa tullium de officiis' (f. 49rv).
Leaves 3-4 of the Paradoxa are much damaged, a leaf is missing after f. 11 of Laelius, and Cato maior ends at XIX:67.
Marcianus Capella, De nuptiis Philologiae et Mercurii, begins imperfectly in section 7 and lacks all between 'et ipsum to-' in section 65 and 'plenitudo. An aliud' in section 108, due to the loss of the first leaf and of three leaves after f. 67.
In Macrobius, Somnium Scipionis, all is missing between 'sensuum celebrantur' in I.6.81 and 'uiros in numerum deorum' in I.9.6 due to the loss of two leaves after f. 93; the last words are in II.15.26; there are drawings in the margins, and in the text space on ff. 106-7, 114, 116 and 117v.
The margins from f. 50 become very wide and many of them were filled with medical recipes and accounts in English in one hand of the second half of the 16th century, bearing dates between 1574 and 1581; the writer is identified on f. 48v as Ralph Saviour, parson of Robeston, Pembrokeshire.

Collation based on that of Sir Sydney Cockerell dated 5 March 1894, before the manuscript was rebound with the damaged leaves at the beginning mounted separately.
