Book 2 begins on f. 79; book 3 on f. 140v; book 4 on f. 193.
Folio i is a medieval flyleaf; ff. 78rv, 191v-192v and 265v-268v were left blank.
Interlinear glosses and many annotations in the broad margins and in blank spaces, second half of the 13th century and turn of the 13th to 14th century.
14th century annotation on f. 167v: "Hec sunt 7 que mulierem obseruare decet vt sit silicet Casta tacens residens humilis operans pia prudens."
Books 1 and 3 have a medieval page numbering.
Written space: 215 x 130 mm.
Two columns of 35 lines.
Collation: 1-6¹² 7⁶ (ff. 73-78) 8-16¹² 17⁶ (ff. 187-192) 18-23¹² 24⁴ (4, f. 268, is pasted down).
Ad hoc pencil signatures.
Initials in red and blue with ornament of both colours or blue with red ornament.
Secundo folio: text (f. 5): sustinemus ; table of chapters (f. 2): De inmutibilitate.
Rebound at Eton in the early 17th century.
Written in England.
In a small hand at the head of f. 1: "Beaufort".
Inscription ending "... nonagesimo quinto" on f. 267v, probably a cautio note dated 1395.
Inscription on the verso of f. 1 recording donation by Richard Hopton "sacre theologie professoris et quondam socii huius collegii".
