The first part of the Summa theologica of St Thomas Aquinas (ff. 1-149r) followed by a table of the 119 questions contained in the main text (ff. 149v-153v); f. 154v was left blank and pasted down.
Partly dismembered in the first half of the 17th century, when 36 leaves were removed between f. 144v and f. 145; six bifolia (12 leaves) were used in the bindings of Eton college accounts and are now in a volume of fragments (Eton MS 219), including one bifolium of fragments of an alphabetical index which may have preceded the main text (now pp. 47-50 in MS 219).
MS 116, f. 144v ends in Q. 91 a 2 (section 445), and f. 145r begins in Q. 117 a 1 (section 576); ten of the 36 leaves missing in this gap are in Eton MS 219 where they are bound as pp. 39-46, 35-38, 27-34, containing parts or all of sections 455-458, 466-468, 479-483, 490-497, 533-538, 549-557, 560-564, and 572-576.

On f. 1 is a 5-line initial in pink patterned in white on blue and red decorated ground and a gold frame; other initials are 2-line in blue with red ornament or red with pale green ornament.

Rebound at Eton around 1520.
